Axxerion was founded in 2003 to develop technology and software which would enable persons and organizations to work together via Internet in a cost effective and efficient way. The technology is designed for organizations that need better tools than just email and spreadsheets, but find traditional enterprise information systems too complex and expensive. Axxerion focuses on small organizations that need an integrated solution for data and process management, and on large organizations that need to exchange data and processes with departments, subsidiaries, customers and suppliers. Axxerion has been self funded and profitable since the beginning.

Customers and partners can submit requests for new functionality online and updates become available each month. This method enables new concepts to be implemented, tested and improved quickly. Customers have the option to disable automatic propagation of enhancements in their environment. Another important aspect of the business strategy is the pay-per-use price model (ASP or SaaS model). This enables smaller organizations, with relatively small amounts of data and users, to implement a professional information system.
